Health Care and Social Assistance is Australia’s largest industry. This can be attributed to several factors including an ageing population, more people with chronic conditions, increased health awareness, a focus on wellbeing and ongoing medical advancements. Since it employs the most people, it’s important for this industry to truly reflect the people it serves, including those with a disability.

Congratulations to the 17 job seekers who completed a 5-day Hospitality course at Global Skills Wetherill Park last week. This course concludes a series of three sessions delivered by the National College of Vocational Education (NCVE) across our sites in Lake Haven, Fairfield, and Wetherill Park.

Congratulations to 15 job seekers who have successfully completed their Certificate III in Retail at Global Skills Wetherill Park with thanks to the National College of Vocational Education (NCVE).

This week, 19-25 August is National Skills Week, a week that highlights the benefits of skills/vocational education and training (VET).

Last week, Global Skills had the privilege to once again participate in the Pathways to Employment Expo with thanks to the Fairfield Emerging Communities Action Partnership (FECAP).

On Tuesday, Global Skills had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the 2024 Apprenticeship/Traineeship & Jobs Expo on the Central Coast.
