Connecting Communities to Meaningful Work

On Monday, Global Skills attended the Employment Accelerator in Blacktown, alongside Sydney Metro and other local employers, community organisations and job seekers for a day centred on real employment opportunities.

Strong relationships with local employers are key to Global Skills’ success in helping our participants find meaningful, sustainable work. Today we’re celebrating Saronbell Pty Ltd, a major employer on the Central Coast, and the opportunities their partnership has created for our participants.

Congratulations to Global Skills Wetherill Park participant Greg on reaching his 6-month employment milestone! Greg returned to work four years after retiring and is now enjoying a fulfilling role in warehousing and logistics.

Congratulations to Bankstown participant Ofa on reaching her 6-month employment milestone. After taking time out to care for her mum, Ofa was ready to return to work and rebuild her career.

International Day of People with Disability 2025

Today is the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), a United Nations day that encourages awareness, understanding and inclusion for people with disability. This year’s theme, ‘Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress’, reminds us of the importance of removing barriers and ensuring everyone has equal opportunities to take part in community life, including work.
