Saturday 25 March is National Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) Awareness Day. To help raise awareness and to celebrate Global Skills’ job seeker Caitlin’s employment success, we took the time to learn about Caitlin’s lived experience with FND and her journey through employment.
“I worked in Aviation for 38 years before my job was made redundant due to COVID-19. You can imagine I had many emotions. I’ve never been unemployed and at my age I was thinking what am I going to do?”
Congratulations to 13 Global Skills Transition to Work Program job seekers. All are on track to gain their Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations, in 7 weeks, with thanks to United Transport Solutions.
“Going to work has helped ease my anxiety. I’m no longer a hermit crab, wanting to stay home all the time. It has definitely helped my financial situation too. I’ve got a house now, a two-bedroom unit.”
