Congratulations to 5 Global Skills participants who, after completing the Woolworths Refugee Employment Program in July last year, have now reached their 6-month employment milestone.
This week, 17-23 March, we celebrate Neurodiversity Celebration Week. With around 15-20% of the population having a neurological difference, this week is all about challenging misconceptions, breaking down barriers, and recognising the strengths and talents of neurodivergent individuals.

Global Skills is proud to recognise the women who lead and make a difference in our organisation. The theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is ‘March Forward’, marking 30 years since the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action for gender equality. With this theme in mind, we are chatting with our Operations Manager, Nancy, about her leadership journey, her perspective on fostering growth and inclusion, and her advice for women aspiring to leadership roles.
1-7 March is Hearing Awareness Week, providing an opportunity for Global Skills to raise awareness of the causes of hearing loss in the workplace and the steps that can be taken to minimise the risks.
Congratulations to Matthew on reaching his 6-month employment milestone! He joined Global Skills Disability Employment Services in 2023. Living with a lower limb disability that brought additional health challenges, and a speech impairment, he was eager to work and sought support to identify roles that matched his skills and abilities.
On Wednesday, Global Skills had the pleasure of attending the Fairfield Community Essentials Day, hosted by Sydney South West Local Jobs. It was a day dedicated to helping job seekers access a wide range of essential services, all in one place.
