For employers, we offer an extensive recruitment service by connecting an extensive database of qualified, experienced, pre-screened and work ready staff. We have a long and distinguished 30-year history of listening to employers needs and creating innovative solutions to service the Greater Western Sydney labour market and our local communities.

Our offices are open. We welcome all job seekers to attend their scheduled appointments in our offices and use our job search facilities. Alternatively we can arrange appointments and support via video conferencing or the telephone. 

Global Skills offices have COVID Safety Plans which are registered with NSW Health. Our commitment to providing a safe environment includes:

  • All staff have completed NSW Health COVID Safe training.
  • All staff follow NSW Government and Global Skills WHS guidelines.
  • Visitors and staff require temperature checks upon entry.
  • Visitors and staff are required to use a QR Code or login sheet upon entry.
  • Visitors and staff with a temperature above 37.5 degrees are not permitted to enter.
  • Visitors and staff are required to use sanitiser stations in our offices.
  • All offices have a capacity limit to ensure we are practicing social distancing.
  • All offices and frequently touched spaces are regularly cleaned.

How We Help Job Seekers

Global Skills offers tailored support to job seekers through the jobactive, Disability Employment Services, Career Transition Assistance Program and Time to Work Employment Service programs. 

Our goal is to empower individuals to fulfil their ambitions by supporting them to overcome any barriers they face professionally and personally.

Through pre-employment programs, referral to complimentary services and partners, job search and on-going support once in work, Global Skills dedicated Consultants are with our job seekers every step of the way.

How We Help Employers

Global Skills understands the importance of sourcing and skilling the right staff to meet current and future business needs.

We offer a zero cost, full recruitment strategy for a diverse range of employers.

Employers are offered programs to build industry or specific workplace skills, pre-screening, funding qualifications and workplace licences, purchase of PPE or adaptive technology for job seekers with disability.

We help employers access government wage subsidies and other incentive programs which contribute to the initial costs of hiring and skilling new staff.

Through Disability Employment Services, people with disability, injury or health condition may be able to receive assistance to prepare for, find and keep a job.

Providers of Disability Employment Services are called DES providers for short. DES providers are a mix of large, medium and small, for-profit and not-for-profit organisations that are experienced in supporting people with disability as well as providing assistance to employers to put in place practices that support the employee in the workplace.

jobactive is an Australian Government inititive to help people find employment. If you’re on an income support payment through Centrelink, such as JobSeeker, Youth Allowance or Parenting Payment, you are eligible to join Global Skills’s jobactive program.

Global Skills Career Transition Assistance is a 10 hour a week program delivered over 8 weeks to assist mature-aged job seekers to identify how to take advantage of their skills and experience when applying for jobs in the current labour market.

When you first register with Centrelink, ask to be referred to Global Skills or contact Centrelink and discuss being transferred to us if you are already linked to another jobactive provider.
