Transition to Work Participants Complete Steady Minds
Congratulations to Global Skills Transition to Work participants from Wyong, Lake Haven and Gosford on completing the Steady Minds workshop.
Delivered by the Iris Foundation and funded by Save Our Kids from Suicide (SOKS), this engaging 2.5-hour session focused on mental wellbeing as a foundation for employability. Participants gained practical skills to support both their work readiness and everyday life.
Through interactive discussions and guided self-reflection, participants explored emotional regulation and resilience, goal setting and recognising personal strengths, identifying challenges and roadblocks, and building strategies to overcome them.
It was great to see such strong engagement throughout the workshops, with participants openly sharing their experiences and reflecting on how mental wellbeing connects to their education and employment goals.
Feedback showed participants gained a clearer understanding of their strengths, resilience and how to overcome challenges, along with practical strategies they can use in everyday situations, job interviews and future workplaces.
Global Skills extends our thanks to the Iris Foundation and Save Our Kids from Suicide (SOKS) for providing this valuable opportunity for our participants.
