Pathways to Employment Expo Fairfield

On Wednesday 20 August, Global Skills had the wonderful opportunity to connect with migrant and refugee job seekers at the Pathways to Employment Expo in Fairfield. The event was organised by the Fairfield Emerging Communities Action Partnership (FECAP) and held at the Fairfield Youth and Community Centre. It brought together over 600 attendees, connecting with local job opportunities, training programmes and community services in one place.

As the nominated Employment Service Representative for FECAP, Global Skills was proud to be part of this event, which included information stalls, presentations, career advice, resume support and a jobs board.

Global Skills staff, Trent, Christine and Anita, had a rewarding day showcasing how Global Skills supports migrant and refugee job seekers. They offered guidance on resumes, job applications, and helped connect attendees, many of whom are new arrivals from overseas, with relevant services.

Global Skills is proud of our service history and staff who support the diverse and vibrant communities across South West Sydney, especially of note that our frontline staff speak more than 36 languages across our regions.
