ManufactHER Interviews at Global Skills Gosford Lead to Further Opportunities

On Wednesday, Global Skills Gosford welcomed Central Coast Group Training (CCGT), a partner of the ManufactHER program, to conduct interviews with 5 young women. All participants progressed to an employer site visit at BAC Australia.

CCGT has a long-standing relationship with both Global Skills and BAC Australia, helping to ensure the opportunity was well coordinated. The 1.5-hour employer information session was held at BAC’s Somersby factory, where the company has recently experienced significant growth and is committed to supporting women in manufacturing. The session included a presentation from BAC Australia’s Plant Manager, Luke, and was highly interactive, prompting plenty of questions from participants. 4 participants have now progressed to the next stage of interviews.

Feedback was very positive, with participants impressed by the size of the facility and the range of opportunities available. Global Skills Manager Chloe said, “Incredible session. Luke was very informative. It was great to see such a wide range of opportunities for female participants.”

Global Skills extends our thanks to CCGT and BAC for providing this valuable opportunity.
