International Day of People with Disability 2025

Today is the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), a United Nations day that encourages awareness, understanding and inclusion for people with disability. This year’s theme, ‘Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress’, reminds us of the importance of removing barriers and ensuring everyone has equal opportunities to take part in community life, including work.

Global Skills has been supporting people with disability to find and maintain meaningful employment since 2006 and now delivers the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program in Parramatta, Baulkham Hills, Merrylands, Hornsby, Auburn, Fairfield, Wetherill Park, Cabramatta, Campbelltown, Ingleburn, Camden, Narellan, Brookvale, Chatswood, Ryde, Mount Druitt, Blacktown and Seven Hills. As a locally owned organisation with 35 years’ experience, we take the time to listen, understand and create genuine opportunities for participants. We’re proud to be a disability confident employer and to work closely with local businesses and services to support meaningful employment.

Today Global Skills is at the IDPwD Community Services Expo at Hornsby PCYC in Waitara. If you’re attending, please drop by our stall and say hello to our Community Engagement Consultant Robert. We’d love to chat.
