On Friday 28 November, Global Skills Hornsby welcomed Mission Australia for a Health Equity and Access Program (HEAP) information session with our Participants.
HEAP is delivered by Mission Australia and Street Side Medics, with support from Sydney North Health Network. It aims to make healthcare easier to access for people experiencing homelessness and for those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Through the program, participants can receive health assessments, education, and referrals to GPs, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and other community services.
As part of the session, Participants were able to spend one-to-one time with Mission Australia staff to register and learn more about the support available.
Global Skills extends our thanks to Mission Australia, Street Side Medics and Sydney North Health Network for delivering this valuable program and supporting our community.
This session reflects Global Skills’ Purpose: to make a world of difference by delivering employment services that remove obstacles, encourage inclusion, and create fair opportunities for everyone.
