Global Skills is proud to support Get Online Week, a national campaign by Good Things Foundation that helps people feel safer, more confident and better connected online.
Yesterday at our Gosford office, we hosted an afternoon tea with a group of our participants and watched the eSafety Commissioner’s webinar, Protecting Your Personal Information.
The session covered why privacy matters, how to keep your information secure, common impersonation scams to look out for, and where to go for help. It was a valuable opportunity for participants to learn more about staying safe online and to ask questions in a relaxed setting.
We were pleased to have Jodi from APM join us to speak about the Career Transition Course. Our Employer Liaison Officer Hayley and Executive Manager Martin also attended and spoke with participants. As a result, two participants have been connected with potential employers, and three expressed interest in the CTA program.
Global Skills Executive Manager Elizabeth, was also in attendance, commented “It was a great event with engaged participants who are interested in building their digital skills. The webinar encouraged useful conversations about online safety and using digital tools with more confidence. Our Gosford team did a fantastic job supporting everyone involved.”
