Last week, Global Skills Inclusive Employment Australia and Career Transition Assistance participants had the opportunity to hear directly from industry when representatives from CDC NSW visited our Parramatta office.
The session provided valuable insight into careers in the transport sector, with a focus on bus driving roles. CDC NSW, a leading provider of bus services across metropolitan and regional New South Wales, shared how their commitment to service, reliability and safety supports millions of passengers each day.
Jacqueline and Amanda from CDC NSW led the presentation, speaking about the organisation, their approach to work, and what a typical day looks like for a bus driver. Participants were encouraged to ask questions, helping them to better understand the role and what it involves.
With roles available across from the Central Coast to Greater Western Sydney, the session resulted in applications for bus driver roles being submitted directly to CDC NSW, along with further potential opportunities for our participants.
Global Skills Executive Manager Elizabeth commented, “What a great morning. We all learnt so much and truly appreciate the time CDC NSW spent with us.”
Global Skills extends our thanks to Jacqueline and Amanda from CDC NSW for visiting and sharing their knowledge. We look forward to continuing to work together to create opportunities for our participants.
Thank you also to the Global Skills Employer Liaison Consultant, Hayley for helping to organise this valuable opportunity.
