Congratulations to Wetherill Park participant Odeesho, who has now surpassed 6 months in his architecture career.

When Odeesho first connected with Global Skills and his Employment Consultant, Farzana, he had a clear goal: to build a career in architecture.

“I graduated with a degree in architecture, but like many graduates, I found it difficult to secure a role because employers were looking for experience,” he said. “I decided to reach out to an architectural firm in Liverpool to gain practical experience, which really helped build my skills and confidence.”

That experience led Odeesho to secure his current role as an Architectural Designer. In this position, he works on residential projects, including drawings, 3D modelling, and design documentation.”

“I love seeing projects come to life and I enjoy learning from experienced people. Everyone has been patient, answered my questions, and trusted me with more responsibility as I’ve grown.” Odeesho said.

He also acknowledged the support he received from Global Skills. “Farzana was always kind and understanding. She supported me with my job search, interview preparation, work checks, clothing, and fuel vouchers to help me get started,” he said.

Now, while continuing his master’s studies, Odeesho is building a strong foundation for a long-term career in architecture.
