ADF Info Day at Global Skills Wyong

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Australian Defence Force (ADF) representatives to Global Skills Wyong. The session was designed for our young participants, aged 17 to 24, who were interested in starting a career with the ADF.

Many of our young people have shown an interest in joining the ADF but weren’t sure where to start or how to get involved. To support, two ADF staff members delivered a presentation about ADF roles and pathways, offering helpful tips on how to apply and what to expect from a career in the Defence Force.

The session provided an opportunity for participants to ask questions directly to the ADF representatives, allowing them to get a clearer picture of whether a career in Defence is the right fit for them.

One participant shared, “I loved it, I now know where to start, and that’s with my health. I know I’ll get there.”

Chloe, Global Skills’ Transition to Work Program Manager, added, “It’s important to equip young people with the skills and confidence to apply for careers across any industry. Presentations like these provide valuable information, inspiration, and opportunity.”

Global Skills extends our sincere thanks to the ADF for taking the time to share their knowledge with our young participants.
