“I most enjoy the case management aspect of my role. I love supporting each and every one of my job seekers to gain employability skills and then assist them into employment. At the end of the day it’s making a difference in their lives.”
Employment Consultant Team Leader Mira Khan works at our Liverpool office, supporting our Employment Consultant team and local job seekers.
“While the favourite part of my role is assisting my clients into a job, supporting a job seeker to get an interview, especially when it’s their first interview, fills my heart. It may be a client who joined us with little or no English skills, has been supported to attend English classes then they get a job interview. It’s amazing. Just seeing my clients happy is an important thing for me,” says Mira.
“As well as my caseload, I have additional responsibilities as a Team Leader which includes supporting our Liverpool staff with anything they need. I feel I am a good resource to the team and help as much as I can.”
With a Bachelor of Business Administration and a work history in recruitment Mira joined Global Skills in March 2020.
She explains, “My previous background is in commercial recruitment for IT, Accounting and Engineering industries. I worked placing overseas students who wanted to gain permanent residency in Australia. When the contract ended, I applied for a position at Global Skills because I wanted to pursue case management. I love supporting each and every one of my job seekers gain employability skills and assist them into employment. Helping others is really important to me.”
“Working at Global Skills has been great. The most important thing for me is company culture and team environment. From Induction it all just felt right. Support from managers, support from the team, how you get along with one another, is really important. I like that about Global Skills. There is a lot of care and integrity throughout all the work this company does.”
Mira is a much-valued member of Global Skills and we are proud to have her on our team.
