Laura’s background includes working in the Early Childhood sector where she gained her teaching degree before deciding on a different long-term career path. Thanks to personal connections, Laura moved into the Employment Services industry where she gained her first Employment Services role in Brisbane. Laura remembers, “I loved it. After some time in this role I moved Sydney and not long after secured a role at Global Skills, Toongabbie office.

Now at our St Marys office Laura supports our jobactive and DES programs and loves her dual role. “I love working in both programs. As an employment service our main goal is to find suitable and sustainable employment. Many of my clients are transitioning in their career or changing careers completely. Each job seekers support is tailored to their needs and personal goals”.

Laura says what she likes best about working with Global Skills is the people, “Everyone is helpful and friendly. I have made some really good friends here and the management are really supportive of their staff. I can pick up the phone and call them anytime. They will drop everything and come if you need anything. I have worked for Global Skills for five years and have felt supported every step of the way.”

Laura is a much-valued member of Global Skills and we are proud to have her on our team.
