Global Skills Supports Youth Development on the Coast

Global Skills was a proud sponsor at last Saturday’s trivia night to raise much needed funds for 1st Byattunga Scout Group, Morisset. This year marks Global Skills’ second consecutive year as a major sponsor.

Byattunga group leader Rick Gomez said, “The annual trivia night is a big fundraiser for our group. This year, the theme was ‘Through the Decades’ and it was a really successful night. There were over 100 people in attendance and we raised nearly $7000. Global Skills sponsorship certainly helped our tally.”

1st Byattunga Scout Group has a long history of supporting young people, aged 6–26, to develop new skills and leadership qualities through fun outdoor activities.

Global Skills sponsorship supports our commitment to helping young people transition to the workforce. Global Skills delivers Transition to Work (TtW) and Workforce Australia services from four Central Coast sites and we recognise that participation in Scouts can help young people build a variety of skills that are transferrable to the workplace.
