Global Skills Director Appointed to Local Taskforce

Global Skills Director, Rebecca Nicholls, has been appointed to the Sydney Greater West Employment Region Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce.

The Local Jobs Program runs to 30 June 2022 and brings together expertise, resources and access to funding at the local level to focus on reskilling, upskilling and employment pathways for people in the region.

Funded by the Australian Government, the program is part of supporting Australia’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I am delighted to be appointed to the taskforce, representing employment service providers who are at the forefront of supporting people who have lost their jobs because of the pandemic,“ Ms Nicholls said.

“The investment by the Government will allow the taskforce to develop and implement a local labour market plan and identify projects that boost employment opportunities for people in Greater Western Sydney.”
