Global Skills was proud to continue our participation in Get Online Week, a national campaign by the Good Things Foundation that helps people feel safer, more confident and better connected online.
On Thursday 22 October, 13 participants joined us at Global Skills Liverpool for a screening of the eSafety Commissioner’s webinar, ‘Can You Spot a Scam?’ The informative one-hour session covered common scams, including the latest Tax and Medicare scams, tips for recognising them, what to do if you encounter a scam, and where to go for help.
The session also provided an opportunity for participants to share their own experiences and learn from one another. Many spoke about their personal experiences or knowing a loved one who had been affected, highlighting just how important it is to understand the risks and know where to turn for support.
Participants particularly enjoyed the interactive session with Inareta, Global Skills’ Career Transition Assistance (CTA) trainer, making it an engaging opportunity to learn, ask questions and share experiences.
Global Skills extends our thanks to everyone who joined us at Liverpool and helped make the event such a valuable opportunity to build digital awareness and confidence.
