Recently, Global Skills had the opportunity to attend the Central Coast Employment and Opportunities Day at the Oasis Youth Services Centre in Wyong, with thanks to Homes NSW.

The event brought together local education, training, employment and community service providers to connect with social housing tenants and share information about the support available to them. It provided a welcoming space for attendees to learn about opportunities, build skills, access services and have their voices heard.

When employment and accommodation providers work closely together, residents can access the right support earlier and see a clearer pathway from stable housing to skills development, meaningful work and greater independence.

Our team spent the day connecting with attendees and talking about the opportunities and support available through Global Skills’ Transition to Work (TtW) and Workforce Australia programs.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our relationships with other organisations supporting people across the Central Coast.

Thank you to Homes NSW, Oasis Youth Services, the participating service providers and everyone who contributed to the day. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and helping more Central Coast residents connect with sustainable employment.
