This week, 24–30 August, is National Skills Week, celebrating the positive impact vocational education and training (VET) has on individuals, businesses and communities.
The 2026 theme, ‘Life Changing’, recognises how VET can open doors to new skills, greater confidence and exciting career opportunities, while supporting Australia’s changing workforce needs.
Global Skills works closely with training providers and employers to connect our participants with a range of pathways, from apprenticeships and traineeships to short courses, certificates, workplace licences, certifications and pre-employment programs. These opportunities can build practical skills and qualifications for careers across industries such as aged care, disability support, childcare, hospitality, construction, administration, transport, logistics and information technology.
If you’re thinking about developing new skills or exploring training options, our Employment Consultants can help you identify opportunities that align with your interests and employment goals.
