Global Skills at GambleAware Week Pop-Up Event

On Friday 24 October, Global Skills took part in the GambleAware Week Pop-Up Event at Fairfield Connect (Western Sydney University) with thanks to Fairfield City Council and GambleAware.

It was a busy and productive morning engaging with the local community about gambling awareness and harm minimisation. As an active member of the Fairfield Gambling Working Group, Global Skills was pleased to contribute to an important conversation that continues to affect many people in our area.

With more than 300 people attending, the event showed that gambling harm remains a significant issue in our community. Our Community Engagement Consultant, Robby, spent the day sharing information about Global Skills’ services and other relevant local support programmes.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Danielle Taylor (Fairfield City Council), Jayden Da Silva (GambleAware) and Mariam Sidrak (GambleAware) for their support in making the day a success.
