Global Skills was proud to take part in Get Online Week, a national campaign by the Good Things Foundation that helps people feel safer, more confident and better connected online.
After our Gosford event on Tuesday, we continued the week’s activities on Thursday at our Bankstown office with a lovely morning tea and the eSafety Commissioner’s webinar, Managing Emails Safely.
This session explored a range of useful topics, including the benefits and features of email accounts, how to manage and avoid spam, ways to keep your account secure, and how to recognise and steer clear of common email scams.
Several participants shared their own experiences with spam emails, highlighting just how valuable this kind of learning can be.
Our Bankstown Manager, Bobby Liang, commented, “This session was a great reminder of the value of ongoing digital learning in helping participants strengthen their online safety awareness and build the skills to navigate the digital world with confidence. It was inspiring to see our team, including one of our Employer Liaison Officers, Sok, come together to create such a supportive and engaging learning experience.”
Global Skills extends our thanks to everyone who joined us and to Good Things Foundation for leading such an important campaign.
