Congratulations to Tianna on surpassing 6 months of employment at Cabra Vale Club Resort.

Tianna, 38, joined Global Skills Cabramatta in September 2024 and was connected with her Employment Consultant Trang.

Tianna had been out of the workforce for nearly 10 years while caring for her children. She shared, “I previously worked in aged care nursing before having my second child. I didn’t want to return to nursing. I was ready for a career change.

“I was interested in hospitality, so Global Skills paid for my RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG. They also paid for driving lessons with L Trent, and I now have my P plates.”

With her certificates and licence in hand, Tianna started looking for suitable work in her new career path and soon, after a successful interview, Tianna started work.

Now 8 months into her role, Tianna said, “It’s going really well. I work in gaming and enjoy being around people. I love socialising and interacting with our customers. It’s all about good customer service. As a mother, the hours suit me too.

“I love the company I work for and would eventually like to become a supervisor. The Advanced RCG gave me more knowledge about the gaming industry. With the support of Cabra Vale Club Resort, I’m currently enrolled in a Certificate III in Hospitality Traineeship at the club, so I’m also gaining this qualification while working. I’m very grateful for the opportunity.

“I’m also really thankful for the support I received from Trang. She was very helpful and always there for me, checking in to see how I was going and if I needed anything.”
