Last week Global Skills Liverpool hosted a Construction Recruitment Drive session with thanks to Local Jobs Program – Sydney South West, DLI Training, John Holland, My Gateway Recruitment Team, MEGT, Apprenticeship Support Australia, Productivity Bootcamp and Brick and Block Careers.

A group of 50 job seekers (48 from Global Skills) learned about current opportunities in the industry, areas currently undergoing transformation and future prospects. They were then given the opportunity to ask questions in an open forum and to speak with employers 1:1.

A Global Skills Liverpool job seeker who attended the session commented, “I attended the construction recruitment drive at Liverpool and I loved it. It was an awesome opportunity to gain insight into what careers are on offer as well as knowing the future construction projects being planned locally and nationally. I am hoping to gain a Landscaping Apprenticeship.”

Participants are now in the process of applying for current opportunities which include apprenticeships and traineeships.
