Global Skills was proud to be the lead Workforce Australia employment services provider in the Sydney North and West region recently to assist with the collaboration between the IHG Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific, NSW Department of Education Central Coast Skills Brokers, Central Coast Community College, the Sydney North and West Local Jobs Taskforce Facilitators and a range of local employment service providers.

After detailed pre-screening, 29 local job seekers (including 15 Global Skills job seekers) attended the Hospitality Industry Exposure day at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal with the view to commence a 5 day Smart and Skilled funded pre-employment program including accredited training units delivered by RTO Central Coast Community College. The 29 job seekers had the opportunity to hear from The Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific’s General Manager and Human Resource Manager about working at the hotel and the rewarding career opportunities working in the hospitality industry. The Crowne are looking to hire directly from the group at the end of the program for roles in Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and Front Office.
