Traineeships for Aged Care Employment Program Graduates

Congratulations to seven Global Skills job seekers on graduation of the Aged Care Employment Program. Each of the graduates will now undertake a paid traineeship in Aged Care with Uniting NSW/ACT.

Global Skills has been working alongside program facilitator, Catalyst Education, to identify job seekers looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of aged care consumers.

Seven of our job seekers were prepared and supported through a 4-week intensive ‘Work Readiness’ training course, graduating on 1 June. They will each take on an Aged Care traineeship in either Bankstown, Peakhurst, Westmead, Lilyfield, Haberfield, Leichhardt or Springwood.

The Aged Care Employment Program was launched in Sept 2021 by Selmar Institute of Education, a Catalyst Education RTO. It was developed in partnership with Generation Australia and designed to accelerate skills development and employment outcomes in the Aged Care sector.

Global Skills Performance Manager Rachael De La Barra commented, “I have heard nothing but positive feedback from all our job seekers who participated in the Aged Care Employment Program. They are all thankful for the opportunity this program provides.”

Congratulations to our participants. We look forward to supporting each of you settle into your new career.
